The Open Championship is now reaching its conclusion, with the next name set to be added to the Claret Jug.
Royal Portrush was chosen as the venue for The Open once more this year, having only just played host to the major in 2019.
The iconic course in County Antrim, Northern Ireland also hosted the tournament in 1951, when Englishman Max Faulkner came out on top.
Irishman Shane Lowry meanwhile won there in 2019, with the next champion set to be crowned imminently.
Fans are currently taking in the 153rd edition of the prestigious event, which started all the way back in 1860.
How Arnaud Massy became the first overseas winner of The Open
Scottish players dominated the champions list back then, with Frenchman Arnaud Massy finally breaking the home player winning trend in 1907.
He emerged victorious at Royal Liverpool at Hoylake that year to become the first overseas winner of The Open.
Massy superbly stopped Scot James Braid from securing a third consecutive title, shooting 312 to see off JH Taylor by two shots.
He remains France’s only winner of the major, with Seve Ballesteros remarkably representing the next Open winner from continental Europe with his 1979 success.

Interestingly, the 1907 edition represented the first Open where all competitors had to go through qualifying.
The leading 67 players then made it to The Open proper, where Massy upset the home favourites and made golfing history.
And his was a very intriguing story, with the Frenchman having played with left-handed clubs in Biarritz before switching to right-handed upon moving to North Berwick.
While Scots dominated the competition early on, their American rivals have now overtaken them at the top of the list for most Open winners.

At this year’s Open Championship, a total of six French players will be looking to emulate Massy and triumph at Royal Portrush, including Matthieu Pavon and Antoine Rozner.
